The principal associate and tutor, Akin Adejumo, is a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) accredited and registered trainer. He holds the Trainer Skills Certificate of the CIEH. He has over 20 years combined experience in the Food and Catering industries, as well as in Local Authority and Social Housing.

He has a Master of Science degree in Food Science, with specialisations in Food Microbiology, Food Processing and Quality Assurance, and a Diploma in Management. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CIM).

He also facilitates and provides Consultancy and Learning and Development support for housing staff in the area of Anti-social Behaviour and Community Safety .

Akin also teaches Food Hygiene and Safety courses on a part-time basis at the Community Education Lewisham and other further education institutions.
